It was time for Te Haa to set his son free with the blessing of the Ngati Tama people.

Te Ao Huri needed Uitara to fulfil his dream...and Uitara needed Te Ao Huri to fulfil his dream that dates back more than fifteen hundred years. The blood that flowed through the veins of Uitara that day carried a promise yet to be realized, a promise that goes back to the eve of Matariki on the sacred Island Raiatea at the great place of gathering Taputapuatea Marae.

Here, those that bore the name Uitara who had passed on before were waiting in anticipation... is this the one who will bring back the honour and mana to our name... Uitara was driven by a power he had no control over and like a man possessed he took up his new weapon with ease and surged forth flanked by men of great stature and valour. He immediately took his place without dispute at Te Ao Huri’s right side at the front of an army that was to bring fear and terror to many throughout the land.
